How to Upload Music On Hold File To Avaya PBX.

      Step 1)    
 
 

For first login to Avaya Communication Manager ( CM ) and create new announcement by command: 

add announcement xxxxx

 

 

      Where:

Extension:  This is number for your announcement in your Avaya PBX.

Annc name: This is name your music on hold file that you wish to upload to your AVAYA call center.

 

Note: The name must be the same as the name your music on hold file. Name is must be  case sensitive.
 

Annc Type: Specific type in AVAYA CM is intended to refer to music loop files.

Group/Board: Number of physical Avaya announcement board.

 

Step 2 )
 

Open FTP and account details in order to upload your music file to Avaya Media Gateway.

(G450, G430, G650 Val Board and more.) by command:

 

Enable filexfer

 

For example: login : music

Password : music123 

 

  Step 3 )
 

Upload your music file to Avaya Media Gateway G450 or G650 VAL card via free open-source FTP, SFTP, SCP client like WinSCP, FileZilla FTP client, and etc.

The music track must be in: (8000 kHz, 8bit, MONO) U-LOW or A-LOW  .wav file format.

 

ftp 1.1.1.1  ( where 1.1.1.1 is ip  address of your Avaya Media Gateway or Val Card).

After you have successfully connected to gateway or VAL card, upload your music file. 

Check to play announcement by calling to announcement extension number that you configured before in step 1.

Note: You must to call from extension that registered to your Avaya Communication Manager.
